Reach out to us today to schedule a second opinion consultation with Dr. Shiney George. She’ll listen to your concerns and thoroughly examine your mouth before giving you suggestions on what you should do next to protect your oral health.

How Often Should I Go to the Dentist?

It depends on what your dental team recommends. Most people only need a dental checkup and cleaning performed every 6 months with X-rays being taken at least once a year. But if you have advanced gum disease or are particularly prone to plaque buildup, you might need to start seeing the dentist every 3 or 4 months.

We’ll let you know how often you need to visit our office based on the state of your oral health, and we’ll make sure to send you text, email, and phone reminders when you have an appointment coming up.

What Does My Insurance Cover?

The answer to that question depends on what plan you have. Oftentimes, dental insurance follows a 100-80-50 structure where preventive care is 100% covered, basic procedures like fillings are 80% covered, and major procedures like crowns are 50% covered. Of course, no two plans are alike, so you might want to call your insurance company to confirm whether they’ll help pay for a given treatment.

Our experienced treatment coordinators can review your insurance plan with you. They’ll explain the maximums, deductibles, general service category coverage, frequency, and limitations of your plan so that you can make the best choices for taking advantage of your benefits.
